Elva M. Richard

It is with great sadness the family of Elva Marie (Arseneault) Richard announce her passing, after a long hard battle with Cancer, on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on June 14th, 1943, in Rogersville, NB, to the late Urbain and Ida (Pitre) Arseneault.  Elva worked in food services at St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years up until retirement.  She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, bingo, watching a good hockey game and visits with her family.

Elva is survived by her sons Ron (Barb), Paul (Sharon); grandchildren Nicole (James), Courtney, Cameron, Connor and Brooke; great grandchildren Kayleigh, Hudson and Rhett; brothers Frank (Lizzie), Roger (Linda), Gerald (Jeannine), Donald (Debbie), and Guy; sisters Della (Willie), Jeanette (Tony), Elvina (Roger), Linda (Gerard), Rita (Ronald) and Lorraine (Russell); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Along with her parents, Elva was predeceased by her loving husband Adrien and son Ricky.

The family would like to say a special thank you to our angel Lorraine who helped our mom throughout her battle and Lorraine always had mom’s back.  Also, a special thank you to Bobby’s Hospice and Extra Mural for all their help and support.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Sunday, May 29th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Monday, May 30th at 1 p.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Elva may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
