It is with sadness that the family of Elsie May Lounsbury announces her passing, which occurred on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home. Elsie was born on April 9, 1937; a daughter of the late Arthur and Doris (Iliffe) Craig, and the loving wife of the late Carl Lounsbury.
Throughout her life, Elsie spent many years working at various hospitals in and around Saint John in the housekeeping departments.
Elsie is survived by her 3 daughters Donna Verner (Brian), Dianne Legere and Linda Miller (Jack). She is also survived by her 2 brothers Leslie Craig (Margaret) and David Craig (Anita). Elsie will be forever missed by her cherished grandchildren; Tara, Christopher, Jonathan, Travis, Jaclyn, John and great-grand children Dylan, Serenity and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband Carl, Elsie is predeceased by her 3 brothers Enoch, Arthur and George and her sister Evelyn Jenkins.
Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) have been entrusted with the arrangements. A celebration of Elsie's life will be held at the Fundy Chapel at a date to be announced. Due to COVID-19, the service will by invitation only. ALL attendees are strongly recommended to wear a facial mask.
