Elmer Veniot Obituary

It is with sadness that the family of Elmer Harold Veniot announces his passing. Born on May 22, 1928, in Quebec, he was the son of the late Ernest and Sadie (Lewis) Veniot.

Elmer was a kind and gentle man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a lifelong love of trains and always looked forward to his yearly trips to Hamilton to visit his sister Terri, her husband Gary, and their family. He also enjoyed watching old movies and had a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. Elmer worked for many years at the Admiral Beatty, where he was known for his hard work and friendly nature.

Elmer will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law: Gary; his neice Shannon (Vaughan); and his great neice: Samantha; many nieces and nephews, as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews. He also leaves behind special friends Sheila, Stephen, and his buddy Skylar. He was predeceased by his wife, Mae; his parents, Ernest and Sadie; his sister, Terri; his brothers, Lewis and Joseph; and his sister-in-law, Donna Cullen.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Elmer to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
