Elizabeth Mott Obituary

It is with broken hearts that the family of Elizabeth Patricia Mott announces her passing on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 83. Born in Saint John, NB, on April 25, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Marie McCoy (nee Gallant).

Beth worked many jobs throughout her life. She cleaned houses for years and had a big clientele. She was hard working and very meticulous at her job. Mom took in boarders and had a few special ones: Herluf, Top Cat (Norman) and Rosie. Top Cat made it his mission to prank mom on a daily basis. We had lots of fun and great suppertime discussions. Mom remained friends with Herluf and his family. We had some special times, trips, and lots of fun throughout the years. Beth loved animals and always had a dog or two, from St. Bernards to poodles, she loved them all – especially her “Princess” and “Mila”.

Beth loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often had Janine, Bryce, and Justin at her house. They also had lots of fun pranking Nana and she loved it. She enjoyed spending time with Zoe and Hayden. Zoe and Nana had a special bond and always had lots of fun together. Chloe and Bobby liked beating Nana at cards. She would always get mad. “The Legendary Nana Bizzle” was her nickname, and we all followed the crazy antics of Nana Bizzle and Janine for years. They had an unbreakable bond and always will. Janine was her “sweetheart”. Beth was a mother and grandmother who loved fiercely. You always got a hug and a kiss when you saw her. She always told us she loved us. She loved her “favourite” son in law Claude. She liked to snuggle with him. In her eyes, there wasn’t any man better than him.

Beth will be remembered by her son Tony (Susan), daughter Jackie (Claude), grandchildren Bryce (Jill), Justin, Janine (Melanie), great grandchildren Zoe, Hayden, Kenzie, Reilly, Chloe, and Bobby; as well as many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Claude and Jackie’s, 1090 Latimore Lake Rd., on December 7, 2024, at 3PM. Special thanks to mom’s favourite staff at The Kirk, you know who you are~ Donations in Beth’s memory to the SPCA or NB Copes would be appreciated by family.
