Elizabeth M. Cormier

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elizabeth Marie Cormier, which occurred at Shannex-Embassy Hall on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025.  Born on December 4th, 1949, in Bathurst, NB, she is the daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Bertin) Cormier.

Elizabeth enjoyed singing, dancing, spending time outdoors and going for long drives.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoying holidays and dinners together.  Family was most important to her, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Elizabeth is survived by her son Stephen Cormier of Fredericton; daughters Brenda Cullins of Saint John, Donna Cormier-Soucy (Eldon) of Quispamsis; daughter-in-law Angela Lomax of Fredericton; siblings Raymond Cormier and Gerald Cormier (Marge); grandchildren Dallas, Shamara, Kelsey, Brandon, Kristen, Jelisa, Tamika, Jessica and Anthony; great grandchildren Preston, David, Hunter, Eli, Easton, Angelica, Bella, Todd, Doreen, Joseph, Kehlani, Peyton and Oakley; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her granddaughter Ashley and siblings Lillian, Alexander, Francis, Donald and Thomas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday, April 12th from 10 till 11 a.m.  A Funeral Service will follow in the Fundy chapel beginning at 11 a.m.  ***Interment will take place on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026 at 11 a.m.  Those that wish to attend may meet at the entrance to St. Joseph's Cemetery (327 Westmorland Road) at 10:45 a.m.*** Donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, Ridgewood Addiction Services or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
