Eleatta Harris

It is with great sadness that the family of Eleatta Lenora (Leta) Harris announce her passing on November 12, 2021, at the age of 93. Eleatta was born in Bagdad, Queens Co, N.B. on June 24, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Hazel (London) and Harry Fanjoy, both of whom passed away in 1944.

She is survived by her son Eugene Harris and his wife Elaine; her grandchildren Trevor Harris, Crystal Harris and Vanessa Harris (Bryan); her brother Ron Fanjoy of Mill Cove, N.B. She was predeceased by her sisters Lillien Mills and Ruby Justason, and brother Otty Fanjoy.

Eleatta worked for Veteran’s Affairs for 35 years. She had a great love for reading and working on puzzles, especially “Sudoku”

Thank you to Chateau de Champlain, Eleatta’s home for the past four years. Also thank you to the girls Joan’s Home Care, who took wonderful care of her, and to Kennebec Manor for her last days.

Respecting Eleatta’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to a charity of choice.
