Elaine M. Gallant

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elaine Mary (Gibson) Gallant, which occurred at Shannex-Embassy Hall on Saturday, May 20th, 2023.  Born 1948, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Kristiansen) Gibson.  Elaine worked at Reliable Door & Window as office manager and she was referred to as an “office genius”.  In her earlier years, she loved to knit and she also enjoyed her puzzle books.  Elaine was the kindest soul, so generous, loving and caring.  She adored her babygirl Krista and she’ll be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband Mike of 45 years; daughter Krista Ann Marie Riley of Stony Plain, AB; brother Gordon Gibson of Saint John; sisters Louise Sullivan of Nova Scotia, Linda Gledhill (Stephen) of Quispamsis, Marina Gibson of Kitchener, ON; very special niece Sherry Gledhill-Lucas (Jeff); as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; special friends Jaqueline Parsons and Michael Riley.  Along with her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her brother Paul, sister-in-law Joy and brother-in-law John.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road with visitation being held on Tuesday, May 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Wednesday, May 24th at 10 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
