Eileen G. Fudge

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Eileen Grace (Parfitt) Fudge which occurred at her home on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019, with her family by her side.  Born 1935, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Madeline (Seeley) Parfitt.  Eileen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting and crocheting.  She had a great love for animals, especially her chocolate lab Kandie. 

Eileen is survived by her daughters Carol Dunn (Curtis Webb) of Rothesay, Colleen Fudge (Kevin) of Saint John, Cindy Fudge-Thorne (Jack) of Saint John, Charlene Crowley (Tony) of Garnett Settlement; daughter-in-law Donna (Stephen McCutcheon) of Saint John; brothers Edward “Ted” Parfitt of Nova Scotia, David Parfitt of Penobsquis; sister Leslie Beckwith (Randy) of Saint John; grandchildren Jonathan (Angela), Adam (Carla). Katie (Ian), Tammy (Ron), Tommy (Jody), Tanya (Corey), Susan (Jason), Jennifer (Brad), Kenny (Jessica), Kendra (Corey), Jason (Candace), Cathleen (Mike), Michael (Joanne), Zachary and Amber; 27 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her husband Merton, infant daughter Susan Marie, son Robbie, sister Mary and sisters-in-law Kay and Evie.

The family would like to thank Bernice and Rachelle at Assessments Plus, for the wonderful care given to Eileen.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, January 11th at 2 p.m.  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service.  Interment will follow at Fernhill Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to The Diabetes Association, Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
