Eileen G. (Cunningham) DeRoche

It is with heavy hearts the family of Eileen G. DeRoche announces her passing which occurred on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the York Care Centre in Fredericton. Born in London, Ontario on February 16, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Kathleen (Pledge) Cunningham. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Frederick DeRoche; her daughter Janet Scott Wilcox; brothers-in-law Robert Priddle and Ivan DeRoche (Lorraine).

Eileen was an avid member of St. Mary St. Bartholomew’s Church, serving in the choir for 36 years, altar guild and mother’s union. She was a member of the Simonds Seniors and the Simonds Glee Club. She will be missed and always remembered.

She is survived by her loving daughter Judy Perrin (John); cherished grandchildren Neil, Eric and Ewan Scott (Tara) and Melissa, Ashley Connon (Hannah) and Kelsey Perrin; great grandchildren Callie, Lucy and Audrey; sister Doris Priddle; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of the York Care Centre for their exceptional care and support given to Eileen and our family.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday, March 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from St.  Mary St. Bartholomew Anglican Church on Friday, March 15 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances in memory of Eileen may be made to the York Care Centre Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
