Edwin Ezra Francis Ash

With heavy hearts, the family of Edwin Ezra Francis Ash announces his passing at Saint John Hospital on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in his 82nd year.

Ed will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 62 years, Nancy; his loving daughters Kimberley and Kristine (Keith); and his treasured grandchildren, Cole and Cora. He is survived by his sister, Juanita, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by his brothers, Ron and Larry.

He will be fondly remembered as a proud family man with a knack for spirited conversation. Ed loved a lively kitchen party, checking out the latest gadgets, and cheering for his favourite baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, he could often be found on hunting and fishing trips or simply relaxing at a cottage. 

After relocating to New Brunswick in 2021, he was known to love a lobster roll, taking day trips to explore his newly adopted province, and travelling to PEI for memorable and adventurous family vacations.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Keeping Ed’s wishes, cremation has already occurred. The family has plans to host a celebration of life in Horning’s Mills, Ontario, at a later date. In lieu of flowers for those that wish please make memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
