It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Edith Marie Losier, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Carleton-Kirk Nursing Home.
Born on November 5, 1931, in St. Charles, New Brunswick, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Natalie (Daigle) Richard.
Edith enjoyed a long career as a talented hairdresser, forming many lasting friendships along the way. She was an active member of Arc-En-Ciel, the Red Hatters, and the Catholic Women's League (C.W.L.). Gifted with many talents, she was an accomplished seamstress and cake decorator, and baker. Above all, Edith was known for her generous spirit and compassionate heart. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, especially her neighbors. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering generosity touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Edith spent many years at their cottage in Rexton welcoming many relatives, friends and neighbors. Many memories were made with her annual family reunions.
Edith leaves behind her loving children: David Losier (Betty) of Saint John, NB; Michael Losier of Victoria, BC; Dianne Savoy (Ernie) of Saint John, NB; and Denise Losier (Mark) of Saint John, NB. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Cecilia, Matthew, and Chris; her great-grandchildren, Dylan, William, and Blair; her sisters-in-law, Nola and Rita; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by her devoted husband, Cedric Losier; her brothers, Eric, Reuben, Paul, and Antoine Richard; and her sister, Margaret.
The family would like to thank the staff of Carleton-Kirk Nursing Home for the care and compassion they provided for her.
