It is with heartbreak and sadness the family of Edgar George Scribner announces his passing, which occurred the morning of February 17th, 2021 at Bobby's Hospice.
Son of the late Rose (McRae) Scribner, and survived by his father Wendell Scribner (Janet), brother Joseph Scribner (Krista Burnside), sons Kyle and Evan Scribner (Casile), granddaughter Kiera Cornfield, paternal grandmother Jean Scribner, mother of his sons Bonnie Rankin (Jamie), many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Edgar was endearingly known by his friends, from a young age, as “Ed The Head” and always had an amazing sense of humor and gift at making others laugh. Ed had a sincere joy for music, family, friends, and his dog/companion of 16 years, Brandi.
He took great pride in his work, committing many years to mastering his trade as an NDT Technician. He was a mentor and admired by many in the field. His career allowed him to travel the country and afar, from New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Ontario, Alberta, Texas and the US Virgin Islands; Ed loved seeing new sights, and always stressed the importance of travel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Due to the current restrictions, a private visitation will be held. A Memorial Service will take place at Full Gospel Assembly Church (34 Mount Pleasant Ave. East) on Monday, February 22nd at 11 a.m. by invitation only. The service will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend, and may be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFJquQZdb-8 Interment will take place in the spring at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
Special thanks to Bobby's Hospice, for their kindness and compassion during Ed's final days. Donations in Ed's memory can be made to Bobby's Hospice, and/or The Canada Atlantic Region of Narcotics Anonymous.
