Douglas Frederick Roberts

 It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the passing of Douglas Frederick Roberts, which occurred on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. 

Born on January 18, 1962, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Doug was the beloved son of the late Frederick and Marilyn (Marr) Roberts. He shared a close bond with his parents throughout their lives, and the love and respect he had for them remained a constant source of strength and pride.

Doug worked as a residential and commercial painter for many years, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and the work of his hands. Outside of work, he found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid sports fan and sports card collector who could spend hours enjoying the hobby he loved. He cherished time spent outdoors hunting, canoeing, and four-wheeling, and music was never far from his side. Whether sharing stories, enjoying nature, or simply listening to his favourite songs, Doug appreciated the moments that brought peace and happiness. Though his circle was small, Doug will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet nature, and the genuine friendships he formed throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Doug is survived by two aunts and several cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506) 646-2424.

In keeping with Doug’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those wishing to honour Doug’s memory, donations may be made to Grand Bay Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
