Douglas Raymond Davis

The family of Douglas Raymond Davis sadly announce his passing at home on March 14, 2023.  He was born May 10, 1940, a son of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Hopcutt) Davis.  He was the husband of the late Sandra (LeBlanc) Davis.  Douglas served in the Royal Canadian Navy in his younger years, and retired from working at the Dry Docks.  He was an avid  Toronto Maple Leafs and WWE fan, and he enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, playing cards & horseshoes.  He will be deeply missed by his daughters:  Valorie Davis, Tina Ellis (Richard) all of Saint John; his sons:  Wayne Davis (Ann), of Saint John, Terry Davis (Jennifer) of Halifax, and David Davis (Bonnie) of Saint John; his brothers:  Donald Davis of Saint John and Ronald Davis of Weymouth, NS; his sister Mitzi Garnett of Hampton; his grandchildren:  Matthew, Jaden, Abby, Ciara, Caroline, Kenny, Nicole, Gregory (Shayna), Brandon and Jordan; his great-grandchildren:  Zariah, Sydney, and Amakehs; as well as by many extended family members and good friends.  As well as by his parents and wife, Douglas was predeceased by his brother Gordon Davis and his sister Dorothy Sabean.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424) from where visitation will be held on Friday March 17, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.  The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday March 18, 2023 at 10:00 am.  Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to your favourite charity would be appreciated by the family.
