Douglas Vincent Craft

The family of Douglas Vincent Craft, loving husband of Barbara Ann Craft, wish to announce his passing which occurred on February 12, 2021 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge.  Born in Saint John on January 5, 1949 he was the son of the late William and Catherine (Steele) Craft.  He was predeceased by his first wife Debbie (Fulton) Craft.

He was a Millwright by trade and was a member of Local 2262. Doug loved the outdoors and his time fishing.  He enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.  He will be missed by his canine companion Rudy.

Besides his wife Barbara, he is survived by his children; Troy Craft (Catherine) and Tracy Craft (Jeff), step-children; Robert 'Pickle' Hodgson, Brett Hodgson, Mark Hodgson (Iesha) and Carrie Hodgson (Paul), his brothers; David (Bonnie), John, George (Barb), Gary (Natalie), Peter (Jackie) and Clarke (Kim), his sisters; Betty Delaney (Dave), Patsy Gallant, Cathy Hosford and Jane Patterson (Rick), his brother-in-law Roger Savoie, his grandchildren; Chad Craft, Braydon Courtney, Hayley Hodgson and Joseph Craft and his great-granddaughter Ella along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and his first wife Debbie, he was predeceased by his brother Ken and sister Harriet Savoie.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Due to these uncertain times and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, following cremation a private family graveside service will take place. For those who wish donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by his family.
