Douglas Carson Obituary

It is with sadness that the family of Douglas Samuel Carson announces his passing on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home. Doug was born in Saint John on April 17, 1949 and was the son of the late Edward and Della (Jones) Carson.

Doug loved playing with his cards, and he loved to sing. His favorite song was “You Are My Sunshine”. Doug always enjoyed socializing and laughing with family; he would never turn down a coffee and a sugar donut.

For the past 25 years, Doug was cared for by his sister-in-law, Lavina Carson. He spent many of his days with his nieces, Amanda Carson and Denise Carson and his great niece, Katelyn (Kaken) Carson. Doug was kind, friendly, gentle and loving. He will be deeply missed by those that knew him.

He is survived by his brothers Fred (Pauline) Carson and Ernie Carson; sister Marie Brown as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family graveside will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the SPCA Animal Rescue.
