Dorothy "Dot" E. Savoy

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Dorothy “Dot” Evelyn (Nason) Savoy which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Thursday, May 30th, 2019.  Born 1941, in Tracy, NB, she was the daughter of the late Perley and Viola (Hayward) Nason.  Dot graduated from the Saint John General Hospital Nursing School in 1962 where she continued her career as a Registered Nurse until retirement in 1975.  She was a member of the Irving Pulp and Paper Retirees, SJ Ambulance 709 Cadet Cruisader Division, a volunteer with the Community Food Basket and W.M.S. Dot was also a member of Central Baptist Church, Germain St. Baptist Church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, a choir member and a Carleton Chorister.  

Dot is survived by her son David Savoy (Deborah) of Surrey, BC; daughter Lucy Savoy (Mark) of Saint John; brothers Leslie Nason (Bonnie) of Lincoln, NB, Bayard Nason (Elizabeth) of Edmonton, AB, Leonard Nason of Tracy, NB; sisters Donna McGrath (Robert) of Dartmouth, NS, Kaye Nason of New Maryland, NB, Muriel Johnson (Eric) of Tracyville, NB, Juanita Nason (Roger) of Tracy, NB; sister-in-law Christina Savoy of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren Mark (Jodie), Matthew, Eric, Samantha, Daniel; great grandchildren Arielle, Rosalie, Claira, Evelyn and Wyatt; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.     

Besides her parents, Dot was predeceased by her husband Joseph and brother Perry.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, June 3rd from 2 to 8 p.m.  A Funeral Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, June 4th at 2 p.m. followed by an interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.  Donations in memory of Dot may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
