Dorothy Mary Israel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Mary (Davis) Israel, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, July 23rd, 2021 in her 82nd year. She was born in Saint John, New Brunswick to the late Charles Davis and Beatrice (Bailey) on October 9th, 1938.

Dorothy lived her entire life caring for the needs of others. She was a beautiful soul who will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

There was never a birthday that she couldn’t remember. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Charles, along with their cherished children Charles (Kay), Tony, David, Cindy (Allen) Bernier and Barbara (Keith) Garnett. Dorothy will be remembered by her brother Charles, sister Rose Seymour, sisters in-law Judy and Velma, along with her 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be forever missed by her 12-year-old canine-companion, Milo.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her son Joseph, brother Billy and sister Joan.

Funeral Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Tuesday, July 27th at 10am. Interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens
