Doris E. Eatman

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Doris Ethel (Tremaine) Eatman, which occurred on Monday, February 17th, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on June 22nd, 1931, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late John Thomas and Helen (McAuley) Tremaine.

Doris worked at Dr. Roberts and the School Board throughout her career.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to taking care of her family.     She was an active person who never missed the opportunity to go for a walk. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Doris is survived by her sons Raymond Eatmon (Cathy), Richard “Mike” Eatman (Bonnie), James “Jim” Eatman, David Eatmon (Myra), John Eatmon (Sherryl), Wade Eatman; daughters Helen Paris (Clinton), Sarah Savoy (Clarence), Heather Daley (Malcolm); several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband Raymond, son Peter, grandchildren PJ and Terrance and 5 sisters.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 4CN at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their exceptional care, love and compassion.  Your kindness will not be forgotten.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday, February 22nd from 12 to 3 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Fundy chapel beginning at 3 p.m.  Those unable to attend, may watch the service live, by clicking on the following link: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=814989c8-872a-4176-9369-ddbd6811714f  Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory of Doris may be made to the Extra Mural Program or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
