Doreen Cassidy

It is with great sadness that the family of Doreen Marie Cassidy announces her passing on November 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Saint John, NB, on October 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Arsenault.

Doreen was very devoted to serving her community, volunteering for 30 years at the Loch Lomond Villa and a member of the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed baking and socializing with her friends.

Doreen will be missed by her children Scott Cassidy (Nicki Vautour) and Cindy (Robert) Taylor; beloved grandchildren: Erin, Allison, and Emma; siblings: Charles (Marion) Arsenault, Arthur Arsenault, and Judy (Garry) Prosser; sister-in-law: Edith (Bob) Buck; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Doreen was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, David Cassidy.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Visitation will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 2 – 4PM and 6 – 8PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in the Fundy Chapel on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10AM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
