Donna Jean Muxworthy

 The family of Donna Jean (McLeod) Muxworthy announce her passing which occurred January 7, 2022 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital after a lengthy illness at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur (Art) Muxworthy. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Thibodeau) McLeod.

Donna is survived by her five children Linda LeBlanc (Gerald), Wanda MacDonald (Jerry), Sidney (Brenda Gallant), Tommy, Yolanda Bonner (Vinnie) all of Saint John, N.B; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her sisters Margaret Grant (Ronnie) of Fredericton, N.B, Corinne Gostick of Ontario; brothers Allen “Dusty” McLeod (Lois), Melvin McLeod (Theresa) of Saint John, N.B and Albert Malley (Claudette) of Miramichi, N.B.

In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.

Donna’s passions were bowling, bingo, dancing and helping others.

The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to all the staff of the 7th floor Long Term Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital and to those who went above and beyond to make Donna and her family feel welcomed. From the medical and nursing teams, administrative staff, covid screeners, security and custodial personnel, your kindness, care and compassion will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). At the family’s request, a private service and burial will be held.

Donations in Donna’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society, Diabetes Association, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation (7th Floor Long Term Care Unit), or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
