Donna Cullen

It is with broken hearts that the family of Donna Cullen announces her unexpected passing on October 7, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Lower Derby, Northumberland NB, on January 3, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Mabel (nee. Sherwood) MacKay.

The last surviving member of her family, Donna will be missed by her daughter-in-law Wendy; grandchildren Devon and Fynn; brother-in-law Elmer; best friend Sheila, who was like a daughter to Donna (Stephen) and their son Skylar whom she had a special bond with; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband Harry; son Tim; brothers: Doug, Jim, Birdey, Ray, and Charles; and sisters: Lynn, Marilyn, and Mae.

Donna was a caring woman who loved her family and friends deeply. She was always there to lend a helping hand and put a smile on peoples faces. Her wit and humor were like no other, with quirky comebacks and unique one liners. Without a doubt when you were with Donna you were always laughing or adding new sayings to your repertoire.

An avid dart player, Donna would go out weekly to play a game of darts. When she was relaxing at home she enjoyed knitting and crocheting making beautiful blankets.

Donna was a true animal lover and had a soft spot for both cats and dogs. She would often rescue strays she found, giving them a loving home.

In respecting Donna’s wishes cremation has take place with services to be held at a later date.
