Donald Conrad Daley

It is with broken hearts that the family of Donald Conrad Daley Sr. announces his passing which occurred on October 10, 2018 at Bobby’s Hospice with his family by his side. Born on April 7, 1931, he was the youngest of 23 children of the late Ned and Stella Daley. Don was predeceased by his beloved wife Frances Jean (Monteith) Daley in 1981 and his many brothers and sisters over the years. Don is survived by his 5 children; Ralph Daley (Lolie), Donald Daley Jr. (Sharon), Robin Moore (Tom), Glady Damon (Wayne) and Frances Archer (Wayne), their families, along with many nieces and nephews. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great- great- grandfather, uncle and friend. He had a wonderful sense of humour and used it often to get a laugh. He loved going to the trailer in Sussex on weekends, loved road trips with family or his best friend John Moore, who predeceased him. Don also loved to play cards, darts, horseshoes, washer toss and baseball. He loved a good fishing day with sons, sons-in-law, brother, nephews and friends. He loved deeply and that love was returned by all who knew him. He was an amazing man.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at 11:00 am, from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
