Donald Francis Childs

It is with heavy hearts the family of Donald Francis Childs announce his passing on Saturday, January 31st, 2026.  Donald was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor Dianne Childs (2023), whom he is now reunited with.  Donalds loss will be deeply felt by his children Phillip (Debbie) Childs, Robert (Judy) Childs and Tina (Patrick) Levesque, by his grandchildren Shawna, Mitchell, Scott and Erin, his brother Richard (Emma) Childs as well as many other family members and friends.  Donald was predeceased by his parents Florence and Vincent Childs, his brothers Robert, Gerald, Joseph and Douglas .

Donald proudly served our country as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy from 1956 - 1973, with several postings on both Canadian and British vessels.  Later he worked for and retired from the Saint John Port Corporation in 1996.  He enjoyed the company and friendships he made at the Oak Point Camp Ground where most summers he could be found at his trailer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 5th, from 11-12 pm.  Followed by a Funeral Service in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 (noon).  Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.  For those that wish to make a memorial donation the family requests the Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology Department or Bobby's Hospice.
