Donald James Babineau

The death of Donald James Babineau occurred on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Howard and M. Evelyn (Abbott) Babineau. Donald retired from the City Works Department of Saint John after many years of service.

He is survived by his sister Elaine Babineau (Daniel Achorn) of New Maryland and his nephew Jacob Achorn of Oliver, BC; as well as many extended family members and friends.  As well as his parents, Donald was predeceased by his beloved canine companion RJ.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Monday February 22, 2021. Remembrances in memory of Donald may be made to the Saint John East Food Bank, the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, the Cathedral Heritage Foundation, or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Saint John.
