Dianne Martin Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne Lynn (MacDonald) Martin, on October 10, 2021, at Rocmaura Nursing Home.  She was born in Saint John, NB, on April 21, 1947, to the late Angus and Evelyn (Singer) MacDonald and was the loving wife to her late husband, Murray Martin.

Dianne worked in an Electrical Factory for quite some time, but her main calling in life was to care for others.  She babysat for her friends and neighbours, and she provided homecare to people in need.  She was a very giving person and thought of everyone else before herself.  She was very faithful and made sure to say a prayer every night before she went to bed.  She and Murray travelled all over Canada for his work and she enjoyed visiting her family in various provinces across Canada.  She was always calmest when she was at the beach.  A shoreline seemed to ease all tension she may have felt.  Dianne was very devoted to her family.  She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they had a very special bond with their Nannie.  She was a very special woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Bill (Sherry) Martin; her four adored grandchildren, Amanda, Tiffany, Courtney (Jessie) and Chloe; her 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Donnie (Dianne), Tony (Kathy), and Clarence; sisters, Cindy (Jimmy), Kim, Brenda (Chuck) and Judy (Don); as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Debbie, Leona and Mary, and her brother, Paul.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Dianne’s wishes, no services will be held. For those who wish, memorial donations in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
