Diane McConnell Obituary

It is with heart felt sadness that we the family of Diane announce her unexpected passing on Wed, April 26th, 2023.  She is the daughter of Donald and Phyliss (Brown) McConnell and her brother Colin McConnell.

Diane was co-owner of Incredible Edibles Café which was her crowning glory.  She retired last year in 2022 as the creative energy behind the food and beverage industry of the Imperial Theater as well as the driving force for all the volunteers who she loved and supported.

Her passion was food and feeding people.  She loved to entertain not only with food but storytelling, which she had in abundance.  All who entered her home were treated like family and left with a full belly and a warm heart.  Her sense of adventure and tenacity will live on in those she loved.  Diane has been an inspiration for everyone she touched in her life, often referred to as ‘She-who’ for her fiery spirit.  Her family will always remember and treasure the memories she gave them and honour her spirit with laughter and joy.

The family will forever keep her memory close in their hearts.

Diane is survived by her Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Lorraine as well as her daughter Molly Davidson (Jason) and Molly’s father Gary Davidson, Sister Debbie (SJ), Donna (Bob, BC); Alaurea, Keenan, Andrea, Sherry,  Shane (Jennifer) and extended family Janet , The Riven’s and The Teed’s along with many more.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Diane’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private service will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Diane may be made to the Romero House or the Saint John Food Bank.
