Diane Hebert Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of Diane Carol Hebert announces her peaceful passing on August 6, 2025, at her home, surrounded by those she loved most. Born in Saint John, NB, Diane was the cherished daughter of the late William and Lena (Evans) Fillmore.

Above all else, Diane treasured her family. She shared 66 beautiful years with her devoted husband, Raymond Hebert—62 of those as husband and wife—a testament to their deep and enduring love. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Diane had a passion for exploring the world around her. She found great joy in travel and long, scenic drives, especially when they led to Comeau’s for their famous fish and chips—one of her favorite simple pleasures. A lifelong fan of Elvis Presley, his music brought her endless happiness, and she never passed up a chance to dance to his songs. In her younger years, she loved evenings spent dancing the night away at Legion Branch 69, creating joyful memories that lasted a lifetime.

She also found peace in life’s quieter moments—watching a baseball game or picking blueberries under the warm summer sun.

Diane’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her beloved husband Raymond; her children Robert (Ashley), Kimberley (Timmy), Tom (Shelly), Lew (Kim), and her special son George Brewing; her grandchildren Robert Jr., Rachel, Joshua, Lucas, Roman, Courtney, Rebecca, Cailey, Sophie, Harley, and Zachary; and her great-grandchildren Keenan, Parker, Jaxson, Wilder, Watson, Maddox, Adalyn, Gracyn, and Madison.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Linda Speight (Richard); sisters-in-law Beryl Fillmore and Rita Boucher; brothers-in-law Alphonse (Jeannine) and Merle (Sue); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Diane was predeceased by her siblings Lew Fillmore, Betty Martin, Sally Garnett, and Jack Fillmore.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Extra Mural, Kim Hebert, Rachel Hebert, Shelly Hebert, and David and Brenda Fillmore for their compassionate care and support.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Diane’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made towards the Saint John Extra Mural Program.
