Della Marie Hanley

It is with sadness our family announces the passing of Della Marie (Hebert) Hanley which occurred on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. She was born in Chatham, NB to the late Edith (Cripps) Hebert.

Della attended St. Michaels Academy and came to Saint John at the age of 16. She worked at the Air Force Club, Home Insurance, Calps Department Store and retired from Walmart. Della was truly a faithful member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

She is survived by her daughters; Cathy (Alvin) McGrath, Debbie (Mike) Griffin both of Saint John, Roxanne (John) Humble of Calgary and Bonny (Rob) Brown of Vernon, BC. Della is also survived by her brother Ken (Joan) Cripps of Chatham, several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Della is predeceased by her husband Gerald and aunt Mabel (Ed) Grant.  

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at 12:10 PM from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
