It is with broken hearts that the family of Debra Anne (Floyd) Ingersoll, loving wife of 52 years to Bruce Ingersoll, wish to announce her passing which occurred on August 19, 2025, at the Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born on April 13, 1953, in Hamilton, ON, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie (Coates) Floyd.
Debra was a registered nurse and worked at the Saint John TB Hospital and the Saint John General/Regional Hospital before working in the office of Dr Ed Phillips for over 30 years.
Living at Anthony’s Cove, she had a great appreciation for her view of the Bay of Fundy, and she put a lot of passion into her gardens and property. She was a member of the Red Head United Church and later the Silver Falls United Church where she was a member of the UCW and an active member of both church choirs. She had a deep love of music, being a member of the Tracy Friars Choir.
She is survived by her sons, Shawn (Jill) and Micheal, her daughter Brittany Ingersoll (James), brothers, Larry (Lynn) and Mark (Tina), sister, Susan Chapell, her beloved grandchildren, Sophie, Jude, Lily and JJ, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
Visitation will take place at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, on Thursday, August 21, 2025. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Fundy Chapel, on Friday, August 22, 2025, followed by cremation. Remembrances made to the Rocmaura Nursing Home Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
