It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Marie Walton (nee. Bonnevie) of Saint John; born July 13, 1962, who passed surrounded by her loved ones at Bobby’s Hospice on April 26, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband Andy Walton, her daughter Brittany, her parents Douglas & Joan Bonnevie (nee. Stapleton), her sister Janice Bonnevie and brother Tom Bonnevie.
Deborah is survived by her daughter Katlin Lamont (Jason); son Collin Walton; granddaughters Isobel and Abigail Lamont; sister Jo-Ann Gordon (James); brother Dave Bonnevie; niece Sarah Speight (Matthew); nephews Mackenzie Gordon and Austin Bonnevie (Bethany); and great nephews Ethan and Jay Speight.
Deborah was a longtime employee at Yellow Pages Group from 1987-2014, at which time she moved into a position with FCC Construction until her passing. Deborah was always telling stories about ‘her guys’ at the work trailer, who she always took care of – both with homemade goodies or her snack drawer. Deborah was an active member of the Saint John Navy League for over 8 years, working closely with 9 RCSCC Rodney Sea Cadets.
In Deborah’s free time, she enjoyed camping in their motorhome ‘Lexi’, going on cruises with her husband Andy, and spending time with her family. Deborah was an avid crafter throughout her life, learning and mastering everything she did – though knitting was her true passion. You could always find her with a cup of tea in her hand, working on her newest project or in the kitchen baking or cooking.
Deborah had a large impact on every person she knew and will be missed immensely by all.
