It is with heavy hearts and with appreciation for a life well lived the family of David Edward Wood, announces his passing which occurred on Monday, May 25, 2020 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Geary, NB on April 13, 1929 he is the son of the late Rowley and Freda (Tille) Wood. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Noreen G. (Mullin) Wood; brother Byron; sisters Leila Wood and Debra Carr.
David is survived by his sons Stephen (Theresa) and Randy (Susan); cherished grandchildren Matthew (Kate), Jason (Kayla) and Jake (Cathleen); great grandsons Nathan and Jace; sister Joanne Noble; several nieces and nephews.
David worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Lantic Sugar Refinery for 46 years. He was a past member and past worden of All Saint Saints Anglican Church. He was also a member of NB Antique Auto Club, NB Fiddlers Association and was a volunteer at various organizations.
Due to the current pandemic there will be no visitations or funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Remembrances in memory of David may be made to the SPCA Animal, CARMA Saint John or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
