David Vicars

We are saddened to announce the passing of David Vicars, age 83 which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Born 1939, he was a son of the late Cecil and Susan (Picco) Vicars.

David was employed as a Pipefitter for many years and was a proud member of UA Local 213.

He is survived by his loving wife Alice (Fournier) and their children; David (Diane), Terry (Christina), Verna Vicars-Martin, Jacqueline Vicars and RoseEllen Vicars. Also left to mourn are his sisters in-law; Mary and Jeannie along with his 11 grandchildren; Matthew, Krista, Samantha, Kathleen, Daniel, Jennifer, Lynn, Peter, Jeremy, Natalie and Corrina, 7 great grandchildren; Casey, Ashley, Ryan, Lilly, Sadie, Gwen and Gerald.

In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his siblings; Cecil, Ronny, Billy, Jimmy, Brian, Maureen Creamer and Betty Barry along with his great grandson Michael Doucette.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation hours being held on Tuesday, January 24th, 2023 starting at 10:00 am followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 12 noon from the Fundy Chapel. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
