David Joseph Sugden

It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Joseph Sugden announces his passing on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Born in Saint John on May 6, 1947, David was the son of the late Audrey Barton. He proudly served in the Army with the Black Watch and later worked as a short-order cook at the Admiral Beatty. David was a simple, kind-hearted, and down-to-earth man who found great enjoyment in admiring antique vehicles.

David will be deeply missed by his children, David Price (Shelley) and Anthony Thibedeau (Lori); his brothers, Robert Young (Irene), Paul Sugden (Sandra), and John Curran (Christine); and his sisters, Pat Doyle (Carl) and Joanne Lesley. He is also lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends Tamara (and her children), BJ Green and Donna Lewis (and their pets), and long time friend Paul Conley.

In addition to his mother, David was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Trisha Marie Arsenault.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424). A funeral service will be held in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m
