David Eagles Obituary

It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of David Edward Eagles which occurred peacefully on March 10, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on December 29, 1954, he was the son of the late James and Mabel (Crilley) Eagles.

David was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Family meant the world to him, especially his grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life.

He proudly worked at Irving Tissue for 37 years until retirement. David lived a simple life but had no complaints. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his family.

David will be deeply missed by the love of his life of 50 years, Sharon (Muise); children David Jr, Shelli Speight (Jason), Benjamin (Nicole), Tricia Martin (Dan); grandchildren Emily (Justin), Cameron, Molly, Anna, Miley, Melanie, Sophie, Noelle, Jack; great-granddaughter Kelsey; brothers and sisters Ann Ackland (Bruce), James (Linda), Brian (Brenda), Linda LeBlanc (Alan), Susan Smith (Robie), Cathy Eagles, Donald and Brenda Eagles, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his special brother-in-law Gary Muise and nephew Bruce Ackland.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mowatt and all the staff of SICU for their kindness and compassion shown towards their family during this difficult time.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). A Celebration of David’s life will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Fundy Chapel.

Donations in his memory may be made towards SICU, Saint John Regional Hospital.
