It is with broken hearts that the family of David Allen Crossman, loving husband of Dianne (Guimond) Crossman announce his passing on Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on September 24th of 1953 in Perth, NB, he was the son of the late Harvey and Madeline (Scott) Crossman. In his earlier years, Dave worked as an Auto Body Repairman for Downey Ford and Bretts and then as an Insurance appraiser for Halifax Insurance. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with G4S Cash Solutions.
Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman and in his later years enjoyed fly tying. He was quick witted and a jack of all trades, who could always be found working on home renovation projects and tinkering in his garage. There wasn’t a task he was afraid to take on. Although Dave enjoyed many hobbies, his real passion was his grandchildren. He considered them a true gift and cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, Dianne, he is survived by his sons Marc (Susan) and Derek; daughter Erin (Jeff) Titus; brothers Richard (Lila), Kevin (Kelly) and Joe; sisters Linda MacDougall, Barb (Billy) Myles, Jackie (Ed) LeFave and Sheila (Vaughanard) Williams; grandchildren Adyn, Hannah, Cameron, Violet, Grace and Noah as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Joan; brother Eddie; brother-in-law Dean MacDougall and sister-in-law Anne Crossman.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. A private graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
