Daniel Pincombe Obituary

It is with broken hearts that the family of Daniel John Pincombe announces his unexpected passing on May 8, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Toronto, ON, on July 29, 1958, he was the son of the late John and Doris (Hunter) Pincombe.

Daniel's love for cooking began at a young age, and he pursued his passion by becoming a chef at the start of his career. Later on, he transitioned to driving tractor trailers before joining the family travel business. He eventually retired from a position as a sales and service tech for central vacuums at VacWorks in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Daniel's health struggles began in 2010 when he suffered his first heart attack, followed by a stroke a few years later. Despite these setbacks, he never let his health issues hold him back and continued to live his life to the fullest. In 2017, he underwent major surgery, which he bravely endured.

Daniel was the devoted partner of Kimberly the love of his life with whom he shared many years.  He was a terrific cook and regularly spoiled his family with delicious meals. He took pride in his home ensuring it was comfortable and welcoming. He always put his family before himself.

Daniel was also an animal lover and had a special gift for communicating with his cats. His fur baby Bella was particularly attached to him, and they shared a special bond. Daniel was a lover of all kinds of music and credits that to his family’s rich history and talents, his mother being an opera singer and an accomplished pianist and his father a lover of classical music.

Daniel was a morning person who loved his coffee and enjoyed puttering around the garage, fixing things and tinkering with tools. He was a jack of all trades.

In addition to his many talents and passions, Daniel was also known for his generous spirit and dedication to his community. For two years, he volunteered at a thrift store in Ontario until COVID put a halt to his volunteer work.

Daniel and Kimberley moved to Norton, NB in 2022 to be closer to family, and he wasted no time in getting involved in his new community. In September of that year, Daniel joined the United Commercial Travelers (UCT), a non-profit organization that supports charitable causes across North America. He was an active member and always eager to lend a hand wherever he could.

More recently, Daniel began volunteering at the Sussex Sharing Club, a local organization that provides food and clothing to those in need. He had been helping out there since February of this year, and his dedication and kindness made a lasting impact on everyone he worked with.

Daniel's commitment to giving back and helping others was just one of the many things that made him such a special person. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his legacy of generosity will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Daniel is survived by his special furbaby: Bella; his loving partner Kimberley Wicks; child: Terri Lynn; grandchildren: Claire and Jenna; sister: Catherine Pincombe and partner Raymond Leger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
