Daniel Walter Killam

It is with great sadness, the family of Daniel Walter Killam (Danny) announce his passing on Saturday November 20, 2021. 

Born in Edmundston, NB, son of the late Leonard and Claire (O’Keefe) Killam moved around the province before settling in Saint John as a young adult. Dan began his career at the Telegraph Journal in 1971 where he grew with the digital times and retired as a Graphic Artist in 2017. He always had a great interest in cars, but his deeper passion was in movies and music. Never sticking to one genre whether it was from the 50s, 60s, 70s or today’s top hits, his playlists reflected the many emotions in life. Above all else, Danny’s greatest love and accomplishment was his family. He will always be remembered and forever loved by his wife Mary Killam (Edwards), his daughters: Lori Killam of Calgary, AB; Julie Gagnon (Pierre) of Edmonton, AB; and his grandchildren: Isaac, Chloé, and Sophie. Dan is also survived by his brother Brian Killam; his sister Debbie Killam; his Aunt Rosie, all of Saint John; and many extended family and friends.  The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. O’Brien, Dr. Williams and all the staff of Bobby's Hospice for their compassion and care given to Dan.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  A gathering to celebrate Dan with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 1pm – 3pm at the Fundy Funeral Home.  Due to COVID-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings, all those 12 and older attending the visitation will be required to wear masks, show proof of vaccination and a piece of government issued ID.
