Cynthia Jane MacDonald

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cynthia Jane MacDonald announce her passing on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on September 2, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Raeburn Mitchell and Marlene (Davidson) Moore.

Cynthia dedicated 25 years to Dr. Browns and Associates as a receptionist, where she worked alongside some of “the best girls in town.” Prior to Dr. Brown she worked with Dr. Nagaraj for 15 years.

A talented and passionate knitter, Cynthia found joy and friendship through her craft, spending many wonderful hours with her close friends Barbara, Arlene, and Debbie, and visiting their favourite wool shop, Good Vibrations.

Family was at the heart of Cynthia’s life. She adored her children and held a special place in her heart for her cherished grandchildren Seth, Mason, and Kai.

Cynthia will be deeply missed by her loving husband Willard, her son Ryan, and her daughter Pamela; her brothers Jeffrey (Carrie) Moore, David (Tammy) Moore, and Jason Moore; and by her nieces and nephews Mitchell, Kelsey, Trinda, Mitchell, and Samantha (Raines).

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the 3BN Palliative Care Team for their compassionate care and support. A special thank you to Joan Weir for staying with her during her time out west for Stem Cell Treatment, and to Timmi for being by her side throughout this difficult journey. Your kindness and presence meant so much.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). Visitation will take place on Saturday Nov 1, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow in the reception room.
