Cory Ronald Joseph Despres

It is with Broken Hearts our family announces the sudden passing of Cory Ronald Joseph Despres which occurred on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born August 11, 1981, the first born son of Darlene (Bedford) and Ronald Despres, and big brother to Christopher (Jenny), Curtis (Ashley) and Kyle (Desiree). Cory is also survived by his son Wilson Despres (Miramichi), his partner Patti LeRoy, step-daughter Kassandra LeRoy and soon baby Benjamin, grandmother Vivian Bedford, special nieces and nephews; Justin, Jacob, Kailyn, Brooke, Tyson, Taylor and Paisley, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cory loved music, poker and will be remembered for his sneaker collection with matching hats. He was a die hard Maple Leafs fan and his contagious snicker will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation, visiting will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 4-8 pm. The funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday at 2:00pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel with interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
