Constance E. Wilkins

It is with great sadness the family of Constance E. Wilkins, loving wife of John E. Wilkins, sadly announce her passing which occurred on August 1, 2020 at home surrounded by her family, as per her wishes.  Born in St. Martins, NB, on August 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Viola Marks.

She enjoyed crafts and yard sales.  She was an avid supporter of the Saint John Alzheimer's Cafe.  Above all else her family meant everything to her. 

Besides her husband John, she is survived by her son Jack Wilkins (Alanna), her daughters; Sherry Gionet (Gerard), Wendy Gaudet (Paul) and Heather Keenan (Donald), her brothers; Karl Marks and Stephen Alexander, and her sister Beverly Pevlin (Steve), her grandchildren; Stephen Wilkins (Corinna), Stephanie Wilkins (Mike), Katie Edgar (Andrew), Alyssa Stephen (Jason), Jaimee Cuesta (Bobby), Jonathan Keenan (Morgan), Michael Keenan, Haley Keenan (Kelsey), her great-grandchildren Wesley and Charlie Mae, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Keith Marks (Bunny) and her sisters; Marion Verner and Vivian Hachey.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Keith Wilson and the staff of the St. Joseph's Hospital GEM Unit, Dr. Sarah Thompson and Janice Ouellette RN, and the Extra Mural Team for their outstanding care of Connie.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where, following cremation, visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5th from 2- 8pm. Staff will be available at the main entrance of the funeral home to assist guests with social distancing measures when they arrive. Please note that physical distancing restrictions will be observed during the gathering. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, August 6th, 2020 at 2:30pm at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations to Saint John Alzheimer's Cafe would be appreciated by her family.
