Connie McAuley Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Constance “Connie” Irene (Mason) McAuley, which occurred on Monday, January 30th, 2023. Born in Saint John in 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Frances (Ogden) Mason. Connie enjoyed knitting, watching game shows and scary movies, shopping and playing poker. She was quick to laugh at life, and her laughter never failed to be contagious. Her life overflowed with love; including both the love she joyfully gave and how deeply loved she, herself, was.

Connie is survived by her son James “Jimmy” Mason (Sandra) of Oshawa, ON; daughters Cindy Goguen, Brenda Adams (Wayne), Patricia Skerry (Jack) and Kelly Fairbrother all of Saint John; grandchildren Rob, Chris, Melanie (John), Shane (Andrea), Roger, Paula, Chas, Raygene (Paul), Wayne, Chris (Vanessa), Jack (Janis), Matt (Shae), Kyle (Leanne), Tara (Donnie), Kevin (Lindsay) and Michael; great-grandchildren Rayden, Jordan, Kyle, Alexxa, Taylin, Malachy, Liam, Paige, Zachary, Madison, Grace, Ceader, Orrin, Lua, Gideon, Casper, Evelyn, Amelia, Grayson, Brayden, Lucas, Jacob, Kevin, and Anna; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Connie was predeceased by her husband Roger, son Raymond, grandsons Raymond and Michael, brothers Walter and Donnie, sisters Pat and Rhoda, and infant sister Beatrice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A private Celebration of Life will take place on February 4th. As per Connie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Connie may be made to The Children’s Wish Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
