Clyde Spencer Waddell

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the unexpected passing of Clyde Spencer Waddell, loving and devoted husband to Darlene (Ferris) Waddell, which occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 26, 1949 in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Eldon and Edna (Jackson) Waddell. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Debbie Burke (Wayne) and father-in-law Douglas Ferris.

Beside his loving wife Darlene of 44 years, he is survived by his son Scott Waddell (Erica) of Saint John; daughter Sara Hall (Gary) of Fredericton; cherished grandchildren Ethan, Hartley, Burke, Amanda (Tyler), Dominic and Lucas; sisters Janet Palmer (Bob) and Carol Beckingham (Brian); mother-in-law Marion Ferris; brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.

Clyde worked for Eastern Bakeries for 28 years. He was a very kind, private and proud man. His love for his grandchildren and his family knew no bounds. Clyde was the fixer and was there for anyone he considered family.

A celebration of his life will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 19 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Clyde may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or to the Wounded Warriors Canada.
