Clifford Arthur Guthrie

With heavy hearts, the family of Clifford Arthur Guthrie announces his passing on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Born in Saint John on October 27, 1955, Clifford was the son of the late Hazel (Marshall) Guthrie and Glendon Guthrie.

In his younger years, Clifford enjoyed playing fastball, and he went on to spend more than 25 years bowling—an activity he truly loved. He was also an avid baker, best known for his beloved chocolate chip cookies and his famous banana bread.

Clifford is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Camilla (Lapointe) Guthrie; his daughter Stephanie (Greg) Derrah his son Ian Collings (Brittany Losier); his brother Brian Guthrie; and his sisters Jean Roy, Bonnie Guthrie, and Ruth DuJohn. Also left to mourn are his three grand children Jersey, Jacqueline and Kylie and great grand child Oakley-M.

Aside from his parents Clifford was predeceased by his brother James and two sisters Judy and Shirley

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Clifford’s wishes there will be no visitation or service at this time. Those looking to make a donation in memory of Clifford may do so at charity of the donor’s choice.
