Claude Joseph Arsenault

The family of Claude Joseph Arsenault announce his peaceful passing in the early hours of Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Shippagen, New Brunswick on July 31, 1948, he was a son of the late Edmond and Christine (nee. Chaisson) Arseneau.

Claude is survived by his siblings: Hector Arsenault, Anita Saulnier, Mary-Ann McLellan, Doris Ward, Laurent Arsenault, Rita Hamlyn, George Arsenault, and Esther (Bob) Robins; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Besides his parents, Claude was predeceased by his siblings: Gerard Arsenault, Yvette East, Yvonne Lapoint, and Denis Arsenault.

Claude was a man of few words who found great joy in the comfort of his own home. He enjoyed a quite and peaceful life, keeping those, he loved deeply closest to him. Claude worked as a handy man doing various maintenance jobs over his career, eventually leading him to a career with C.N.R before retirement.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff, doctors, and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice for their compassion, kindness, and care during Claude’s final days.

Visitation for Claude will be on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 1, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM.
