Clara M. Arseneau

With broken hearts, and in celebration of a loving Mother, Sister and Daughter, the family of Clara M. Arseneau wish to announce her passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday February 18, 2021. Born in Egmont Bay, PEI; she was the daughter of the late Sylvain and Delima (Arsenault) Gallant.  Clara was a strong hard working woman of faith. She dedicated her life to raising her family and she would often tell them they were all her pride and joy. Clara was a single mother who raised her 9 children and was so very proud of the family she raised. An avid story teller, she had memories that were so vivid and clear. she loved Bingo and enjoyed playing games with family and friends over the years. A member of the former St. Joachim’s Parish and of the now Saints Joachim & Ann Parish, her faith and trust in God was an inspiration to many.  Those who knew and love Clara will miss her forever.

She is survived by her children Marlene Alchorn (“Bub” Edward) of Saint John, John Arseneau of Sarnia, ON, Terry Arsenault (Teresa ) of Slemon Park, PEI, Andy Arseneau (Tiena) of Saint John, Ray Arseneau of Vancouver, BC, Linda Hebert of Rothesay, Cindy Owens (James) of Moncton and Tina Arseneau of Saint John; grandchildren Derek (Tracey), Lyndsay (Kevin), Phil, John, Paul, Scott (Jackie), Julie (Cory), Missy, Nick (Karen), Mandy (Mark) and Ryan (Laura); 8 great-grandchildren; sister Eileen Lamb (Bill), Joe Gallant (Virginia), Fred Gallant (Reinna) and Leo Gallant (Ruth Ann); and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband John, son Stephen, granddaughter Charlotte; sisters Lucy McQuade and Clarice McNulty.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Due to public health regulations a private family visitation and service will be held.
