Cindy Belyea Obituary

 It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Cynthia “Cindy” Dawn (Briggs) Belyea which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 27th, 2021.  Born September 23, 1959 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Louise (Spragg) Briggs.  Cindy was a graduate of Millidgeville North High School and New Brunswick Community College (Saint John) in stenography.  She later worked for Atlantic Towing as an executive Secretary before leaving for full-time motherhood. Cindy was an active member of Portland United Church throughout her childhood and early adulthood.  Later she attended the yearly Diocesan Choir School and was a member of musical groups including: Camerata Vocal Ensemble, Saint John Chorale, Symphony Chorus and Trinity Church Choir. Cindy was a former member of the Orange Lodge, Lorneville, and a member of the NB Choral Federation.

Cindy is survived by her loving and devoted husband Spencer of 26 years; sons Christopher Watson (Laura), Harry Belyea (Leslie-Ann); daughter Mary Louise Belyea; brother Stephen Briggs (Keira); former husband Brien (Shirley); grandchildren Monica, Katherine and Everett; as well as two aunts, several nieces, a nephew, in-laws, cousins and many friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home (646-2424). In accordance with Covid masks and spacing, a visitation will be held at Trinity Anglican Church (115 Charlotte St. Saint John) on Friday, April 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Requiem Eucharist will take place at Trinity Anglican Church on Saturday, April 24th at 2 p.m.  Interment will be held at a later date.                                                                                                                                                
Donations, in memory of Cindy, may be made to the Music Ministry Fund at Trinity Church (693-8558).
