Christine MacKenzie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine MacKenzie, which occurred on Monday, December 16th, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice.  Born on September 29th, 1938, in PEI, she is the daughter of the late Malcolm MacKenzie. Christine worked as a Psychiatric Nurse at Centracare for many years.  After retirement from the Provincial Hospital, Christine was very active at Greenwich Pheasant Farms, along with Joanne Garnett and Barb Fisher.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, raising animals and travelling in the woods.

Christine is survived by her brothers Albert Folland of PEI, William “Bill” Stoke of USA; special friends Barbara and Ruth; niece Carol King as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with her father, Christine was predeceased by her brothers Malcolm “Mac” MacKenzie, William MacKenzie, sisters Anna Gray and Carolyn Baker and best friend Joanne. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  An interment will take place at Oak Point Cemetery at a later date.  Donations in memory of Christine may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
