Charles "Skip" J. Roberts Jr.

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Charles John “Skip” Roberts Jr., which occurred on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on October 2nd, 1941, in Saint John, NB, he is the son of the late Charles and Winnifred (Russell) Roberts.  Charles was a Veteran who worked as an Iron Worker/Welder for many years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and attending stock car races.  Charles was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan.  He loved animals, especially his cat Kelly who was always by his side.

Charles is survived by his daughters Ruthanne Studerus of Ontario, Mary Chiasson (Wayne) of Saint John, Karen Bagwell (Todd) of Clarksville, TN; brothers Bill Roberts (Helen) of Alberta, Joseph Roberts of Bloomfield; sister Deborah Girouard of Sussex; grandchildren Kayla and Roman; great grandchildren Jackson, Madeline, Valson and Vayla; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents, Charles was predeceased by his wife Gladys, son John Charles, sisters Roseann Mclaughlin and Vanessa Smith.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  As per Charles wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A graveside service will take place at Hampton Rural Cemetery at a later date.  Donations in Charles memory may be made to The Lung Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
