Carol Kincade Obituary

Peacefully at Carleton Kirk Nursing Home in the presence of family, Carol Muriel (Yeo) Kincade passed away on June 19, 2020.   She was born on May 17, 1945 in McAdam, NB, to the late Thomas and Wanda (Bagloe) Yeo.

Carol worked for Dominion stores, then Loblaws for well over 45 years in the bakery as a Cake Decorator, or THE cake decorator.  She was so skilled at it that she could stun people with her hand created decorations and her attention to detail on those designs.  She had a very sweet disposition, quiet but always with a smile on her face.  She was very giving and after retiring from Loblaws, she volunteered at the West Side Food Bank.  She liked to go out and do things with friends and family.  Over the years she had travelled across Canada by plane, truck, and train; went on numerous bus trips to various destinations including New York and other places and liked to simply go on day trips to local attractions or places she wanted to visit.  She enjoyed visiting yard sales and flea markets – like the annual Canada Day Flea Market on King Street.  She was always on the go and just liked to be out doing things for other people.  She was an avid BINGO player, liked to bowl, and had a special love for animals.  She liked all animals but had a certain affinity for cats.  She and her cat Bubbles were a wonderful team for over 15 years.  Carol was very much a family-oriented person and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had the opportunity to live with her daughter and see her grandchildren grow.  She built very close bonds with friends and even closer bonds with family and will be deeply missed by so many.

She is survived by her son, Barry Kincade; daughters, Barbara (Michael) Rossley and Laura (Bill) Ellis; grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Chaisson, Mats Rossley (Kayla Brinston) and Amanda Kincade; great grandchildren, Adam, Jayden, Xander and Emma; sisters, Thelma Yeo and Dorothy (David) Grant; as well as several nieces and nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Floyd “Buzzy”, Melvin and Hillard Yeo; sisters, Lorraine Winik and Mary Gallant; as well as her special friend, Hector LeBlanc.

Carol’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Carleton-Kirk Nursing Home for the care and compassion that they showed to her during her brief stay.  Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Due to the ongoing pandemic, visitation and funeral services will be held by invitation only.  Extended family and friends are invited to watch the service here https://www.oneroomstreaming.com/view/authorise.php?k=159284670864436.
